Brothers Osborne + Lucie Silvas @ Commodore Ballroom – November 29th 2016

Brothers Osborne @ Commodore Ballroom - November 29th 2016

American country music duo Brothers Osborne performed to a sold out venue at the Commodore Ballroom last night.

The band is lead by brothers T.J. and John, and after over a decade in the industry, they have finally seen their hard work, dedication, and talent pay off with some major recognition.

A few short weeks ago they took home the Vocal Duo of the Year in a surprise upset at the 2016 Country Music Awards. Sweeping the award away from past winners and favourites to win Florida Georgia Line.

Their stellar year all started with the release of their album Pawn Shop back in January. Which has seen a whirlwind of popularity and major airplay across the board. Especially with their single hit singles 21 Summer and the ever popular Stay a Little Longer.

Opening their show last night was British singer-songwriter and marital partner of John Osborne, Lucie Silvas. Her vocals were powerful and left the majority in attendance in awe throughout her set. She was charismatic and charming on stage, making a real connection with the audience.

Once the Brothers Osborne stepped on stage, the energy through the venue was palpable.

Each and every song became a sing-along and stirred up a dance party on the floor.

The calm cool of the entire band helped to accentuate their ability and cohesiveness. They all played so well together. It was really fun to watch.

John’s mastery of the guitar was an absolute pleasure to watch. He willed poetic notes from those steel strings with absolute ease.

T.J. was the party starter and came with big smiles. His vocal prowess and charm helped spur the good-times vibe through the night air. He commanded your attention but was completely humble about it.

By the end of the set, I was left completely impressed by their talent.

Thank you to the artists for a wonderful night out.

Glad I could catch them before they are selling out arenas.
