The Trews kicked off their twenty-date tour last night in Victoria at Distrikt Nightclub
in support of their upcoming album TIME CAPSULE. First to hit the stage was Bleeker, & for those lucky few that made it there early to catch their set were treated to a 1st class rock show, great response from the subdued Thursday night Victoria crowd.
The Trews are brothers Colin and John-Angus MacDonald, along with bass player Jack Syperek, drummer Gavin Maguire and touring keyboard player Jeff Heisholt. It didn’t take long to get the place rocking, they opened with Chinese Kites followed straight up by Paranoid Freak. They were on a roll and never slowed down at all until Highway of Heroes about 13 songs into the 2+ hour set. The Trews are one of my favorite bands to see live, they never disappoint.
