The peeps behind Live At Squamish have decided to grow their little annual shindig. First step in their growth was a name change. They are now called Squamish Valley Music Festival, I think it sounds better. They made an announcement through their new website (squamishfestival.com) advising of the change.
Here is the full blog post – and link back to their direct post – here.
LIVE at Squamish has new dates and a fresh new look for 2013.
Having completed a successful first three year cycle, attracting over 50,000 concert goers through the festival gates, we’re coming back next year even bigger and better than ever.
In response to overwhelming demand we are shifting the festival to a fully programmed Friday/Saturday format and the new dates for the festival have been confirmed as August 9-10th 2013.
We are once again expanding the site and camping capacities to accommodate the increasing demand and will be adding additional door-to-door shuttle services from both Whistler and Vancouver.
This is not the only change as “LIVE at Squamish” will be renamed as “The Squamish Valley Music Festival” (you can call us Squamish, Squam, Squamfest whatever you like) and will set the stage for some very exciting announcements in the coming months.
Line up and ticket information will be released in the early spring, in the meantime stay up to date by registering at squamishfestival.com or following us at @squamishfest on Twitter or at Facebook.com/squamishfestival
So now they have a new name, and we have dates for this years festival. I am already experiencing a large amount of drool as I dream about what bands they will share with us this year.
