I was lucky enough to see English singer-songwriter Barnaby “Barns” Courtney several months ago when he opened for Tom Odell, and I was lucky enough to be graced by his powerful vocals again as he took the stage at the Biltmore to perform tracks off his debut EP, The Dull Drums. Courtney made it clear that his passion not only lies with his music but also with the crowd, having jokingly stated that he would “kiss everyone passionately on the mouth.” He sang upbeat singles “Glitter & Gold” and “Fire” with contagious charisma, tangled with the slow, emotional “Hard To Be Alone” and belting out notes in “Golden Dandelions”. With all his energy, humor, and passion, Courtney proved that he knows how to put on one hell of a show.
