Beach House performed a moody set to a sold-out house in Vancouver. Singer Victoria Legrand emerged onstage in a Druid-like hooded black coat bedecked with glittery blueish gems. The stage itself was packed with synths and instruments, fronted by a quartet of projectors, and backed by a trio of gauzy sheets draped over twin clotheslines to create the illusion of pillars. Light bars on the ground both at the front and back of those sheets allowed for a myriad of beautiful, dreamy colour effects to silhouette the band, and a starry sky twinkled up behind it all from time to time. A lovely offset for the band’s music.
