Burton Cummings stopped by The Mary Winspear Centre in Sidney BC for 2 shows on October 7th & 8Th as part of the ‘Up Close and Alone Tour’. It was a treat to see him play in such an intimate venue. The multiple Juno award winner and Canadian Music Hall of Fame member took no time in connecting with the crowd. He chatted about turning 70 soon, and we should be taking photos soon before he got super sweaty, then launched into “No Sugar Tonight/New Mother Nature” which got the first of many standing ovations of the night. Burton has so many hits, it’s impossible to play them all in one night, but those lucky enough to be in attendance, were treated to an amazing show by Canadian Rock Royalty.
