Yannis Philippakis and the rest of UK band Foals brought their contagiously energetic live show to the Commodore Ballroom in Vancouver, BC for a two-night stint.
The band played a 75-minute set that left the masses sweaty, smiling, and fully entertained.
One of the most well-received songs of the night, though there were many that resulted in sing alongs, was Mountain At My Gates off of the band’s fourth studio album What Went Down. After that opening jangly guitar bit, Yannis rolled in with those subtle vocals that quickly escalate into an impassioned wail. Looking around the room, you could see that passion reflected in the faces of the crowd.
What an amazing night. Foals are not to be missed, and anybody that attended either of these Vancouver shows can attest to that.
