A wave of nostalgia washed over me when on Monday night, when American pop punk band Good Charlotte performed at the Commodore Ballroom in Vancouver.
They were, at one time, a guilty pleasure of mine. Now, so many years later, there tracks find permanent residency in my playlists and I don’t care who knows it.
Watching twin brothers, Benji and Joel Madden, rip up the stage with their high-energy delivery was fantastic. For a couple of guys in their late thirties, they traversed that stage like a couple of 17-year-old punks with all the energy in the world.
Though the photo pit was crowded, I managed to walk out with a couple shots I was happy with. I hope they come back to Vancouver soon though, I need another chance to capture that elusive jump shot.
