It should come as no surprise that, as the lights dimmed to announce K.Flay, Joan Jett’s “Bad Reputation” played to get the audience ready and on the same page. Her show pairs Jett’s attitude with, for the lack of a better (more recent?) reference, the hectic energy of Sum 41’s Deryck Whibley. It’s an incredible and surprisingly honest show, featuring music that is best enjoyed late at night in a fast car on an open road. Or… so I’ve heard.
