American country music singer-songwriter Kip Moore brought his brought his current tour to the Abbotsford Centre in Abbotsford, BC last night.
Opening the show was Ontario-bred country rockers River Town Saints. The five-piece band kicked things off with a fun-loving set that got the masses dancing. Each band member was charismatic and it made for a good time, and great photos.
Kip took over the stage and delivered his personal brand of good-ol-boy tunes. The one thing that really sets Mr. Moore apart from most other performers in the same genre is his unique body movements, seeming to indicate a possible background in dance. Mix that with his high-energetic delivery and agility, and he makes for a mesmerising entertainer.
I was blown away by the lighting last night, for both acts. Kip is obviously on the cusp of moving into bigger venues for future tours and his stage setup reflected that. There was a plethora of lighting lining the entire stage, making for captivating visuals.
