I cannot get enough of Mr. Kiwanuka.
His most recent album, 2019’s Kiwanuka, has been finding its way into my playlist on a near-daily basis. His voice, the timbre of the songs, it all just hypnotizes me.
His performance at the Commodore was beautiful. The stage was stacked with talented musicians and Michael was the cherry on top, emoting soulful vocals and ripping along on his guitar.
Opener Sammy Brue caught my attention with a set that showcased his passionate performing and thoughtful songwriting. I will have to keep my eye on this one, a music creator beyond his years.
