Photo Gallery: Ambleside Music Festival 2022 @ Ambleside Park (West Vancouver, BC) – August 12th-14th 2022

With the re-invention of the festival this year to gear towards more contemporary/youthful acts proved to be a good move on the promoters part. Having a plethora of musical ranges during this three day event provided event goers with a welcome selection of musical generes.

Headliners Mother Mother, Offspring and Marianas Trench ensured that the variety of audience would be pleased.

It was noticeable due to the range of age for all concert goers.

With Covid hitting, and the set back of cancellations of live music events worldwide hit festivals hard financially. Some giving in to the uncertainty an folding altogether, but Ambelside Music Festival decided to change it up and it looks like it was a good move. Saturdays’ Offspring headliner was a sell-out, and I am sure Mother Mother, and Marianas Trench provided great entertainment to fill in the gaps.

Having seen many of the acts this year, I can say that the mixture was good. Allowing people to experience acts such as Grandson, and then switching over to St. Paul and the Broken Bones. Rap to soul. Both engaging the crowd.

The one thing I would suggest to the event people is to set up some respite tents to provide shade during the hot sunny days, as many were asking about where they could cool down. I would also ask to have some food trucks that provided fries, hot dogs and pizza and enough beverages for the crowd as items ran out. Keep it simple.

All in all, I would highly recommend this festival. It’s safe, family friendly and has very conscientious staff/volunteers.
