Immersing myself in the Russell & Roots music festival’s Rock Show weekend at Softball City, Surrey, BC, Canada was an unforgettable experience. The event buzzed with an electric ambiance as I joined fellow music enthusiasts for a dynamic lineup of rock performances.

The festival’s opening night on July 29th, themed “Rock Show,” featured an impressive roster of artists. Marianas Trench kicked off with their infectious pop-rock sound, setting an upbeat tone. Big Wreck’s soulful vocals and powerful guitar melodies resonated beautifully, while Default took us on a nostalgic journey with their early 2000s hits. The Wild! injected a raw energy into the stage, and the local gem Good Goin’ proved their mettle. Amidst the luminous cityscape, the festival united music lovers, creating a memorable and harmonious celebration of live music.
