Post Malone brought the Beerbongs & Bentleys tour through Raleigh NC earlier this month, fresh off the release of his eponymous record. A raucous, near-sellout crowd of 20000 strong was wild for the stacked bill, featuring support acts 21 Savage, S.O.B x RBE, and PARIS. Openers PARIS and SOB x RBE got the crowd moving, a DJ preceding both sets to set the tone for the following act. 21 Savage’s dark and moody red and green lighting fit his persona, the heavy bass and smoke combining for an almost eerie atmosphere.
After a significant pause, Post Malone took the stage to thunderous applause. Construction equipment flanked the stage, and Posty paced from end to end with a casual swagger. Rocking his signature POSTYCO tee, he worked the crowd into a frenzy, nevermind the threat of thunderstorms coming through the area. Performing hits such as his collab with Savage, Rockstar, Go Flex and Psycho, as well as a three-song acoustic interlude, the show as a whole was a career-spanning hypefest from start to finish. Beerbongs and Bentleys was worth the wait, and the subsequent tour is everything the album suggests and more.
