Photo Gallery: The Brian Jonestown Massacre + Ghost Meat @ The Vogue Theatre, Vancouver – May 21st 2018

I finally broke my Brian-Jonestown-Massacre cherry, and it was fantastic.

Anton looked a little worse for wear and the lights were a little more dark and eerie, instead of trippy and captivating, but it was a showcase of musicianship across the board..

Intuitive, interband cohesion contributing to a gutteral soul-shaking sonic wall.

Everything was a bit drony and muddy but it added to the mood, a back-of-your-neck hairraising experience that drenched you in psych goodness.

I was the most blown away by the musicianship of both the openers, Ghost Meat, and the headliner. Each one of those guitarists and drummers and bassists was effortlessly delivering.

Thank you to the bands for a great night out.
