What says summer more than a sold out, Wednesday night concert, filled with catchy sing-along choruses, and dance-inducing verses? Nothing.
The beer was flowing, people were losing their minds, and most importantly, the bands were amazing. Third Eye Blind, Jimmy Eat World, and Ra Ra Riot all put on great sets.
Ra Ra Riot got the night off to a great start, priming the audience for Jimmy Eat World.
Jimmy Eat World had the crowd jumping, screaming, and losing their minds with “Bleed American”, “The Sweetness”, and of course set closer “The Middle”.
Then the headliners got the crowd pumped, with two songs off an album that hasn’t even been released yet. They didn’t make it too far into the set before hitting their vast well of hits with “Never Let You Go”. And of course, they played the smash hits “Jumper” and “Semi-Charmed Life”, the latter of which is such a staple, that I heard in a local deli last weekend.
Beyond all the radio hits, Third Eye Blind put on a fun filled, energetic show. The band’s decades of touring experience comes through in presence and charisma. So if you’re a lifelong fan or want to hear some amazing rock radio singles live, the Summer Gods tour is worth every penny.
