The fine folks behind the CBC Radio phenomenon “This Is That” brought their comedy show to Victoria’s McPherson Playhouse last night. In honour of Canada’s 150th birthday, “This Is That Live!” hit the road for a coast to coast tour with 21 performances from Victoria to Charlottetown. Pat Kelly and his comedy partner Peter Oldring performed what was billed as a mockumentary of the travel guide genre and what visiting Canada will be for tourists. The sold out show satires a current affairs program that fabricates stories. Nothing was off limits–politics, business, culture, justice, science, religion—anything of interest to Canadians was fair game.
