Photo Gallery: Tyler Childers @ The Commodore Ballroom, Vancouver – October 22nd 2019

I have been a fan of Tyler Childers since I first heard his music on Anthony Bourdain’s Parts Unknown. Nose On The Grindstone, immediately hit me where music should. His stripped-down, acoustic performance for OurVinyl Sessions was solemn and incredibly moving. Bluegrass, country and a very incredible voice lends to some serious emotion in his music.

I jumped on the chance to see him perform.

Last night did not disappoint. His performance wasn’t what you would expect for a 6-piece; stripped down, full sound but very mellow. His voice is just as good live as on the record and the packed house had no shortage of appreciative fans.

Definitely one of my favourite performers that I have discovered in the last year.
