When Safe & Sound Fest kicked off last year, it introduced itself with a solid lineup with key performers like Majid Jordan, DVSN, Jessie Reyez, and K-OS.
The resulting two-day event set the stage for a return visit from the planners in 2018; this time bigger and better.
Taking place Friday, August 24th and Saturday, August 25th 2018, at Westminster Pier Park in New Westminster, you can get your dance on, as well as experience live painting by internationally renowned artists Ben Tour, Tars, Naks, and Akews One. All based around BC, this group of artists have decades of experience in every style of painting from street graffiti to oil painted canvases.
The 2018 instalment will be raising the bar for local festivals by including a basketball court and stand-up comedy to the mix with local favourite Dino Archie, as well as delivering two solid headliners in Anderson .Paak and Vince Staples. Both artists are known for their exciting and energetic live shows and have solidified their names as upper-tier talent across a crowded hip-hop industry.
Last year this effort was considered a little-festival-that-could, but now it can, and it is.
