The peeps behind Live At Squamish have decided to grow their little annual shindig. First step in their growth was a name change. They are now called Squamish Valley Music Festival, I think it sounds better. They made an announcement through their new website (squamishfestival.com) advising of the change.
Here is the full blog post – and link back to their direct post – here.
LIVE at Squamish has new dates and a fresh new look for 2013.
Having completed a successful first three year cycle, attracting over 50,000 concert goers through the festival gates, we’re coming back next year even bigger and better than ever. In response to overwhelming demand we are shifting the festival to a fully programmed Friday/Saturday format and the new dates for the festival have been confirmed as August 9-10th 2013.
We are once again expanding the site and camping capacities to accommodate the increasing demand and will be adding additional door-to-door shuttle services from both Whistler and Vancouver.
This is not the only change as “LIVE at Squamish” will be renamed as “The Squamish Valley Music Festival” (you can call us Squamish, Squam, Squamfest whatever you like) and will set the stage for some very exciting announcements in the coming months.
