Our Neck Of The Woods is coming back to Maple Ridge.
The free downtown festival returns Saturday, September 5th, bringing a full day of live music, food, drinks, culture, shopping, family activities, and community celebration to Memorial Peace Park and 224 Street.
The event will run from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m., transforming the heart of downtown Maple Ridge into a large walkable festival space with two stages, food trucks, local vendors, cultural programming, beverages, and more.
This year’s Golden Ears Mainstage headliners are Dear Rouge, Bedouin Soundclash, and Tim & The Glory Boys.
That is a pretty strong trio.
Dear Rouge bring their polished, high-energy indie rock sound, Bedouin Soundclash bring the reggae-rock warmth and singalong favourites, and Tim & The Glory Boys bring a big-hearted country-folk party that should fit nicely into a late-summer outdoor festival.
The lineup will also feature rising artists Emmett Jerome, Antonio Larosa, Élise LeBlanc, and Janky Bungag.
Beyond the music, this year’s festival will include a shop local market in collaboration with the Downtown Maple Ridge BIA, storytelling with Katzie First Nation, an art unveiling featuring Rain Pierre, family programming, food trucks, and drinks.
It is the kind of event that Maple Ridge seems to be getting very good at.
Last year’s Our Neck Of The Woods helped turn downtown into something that felt less like a festival dropped into a city and more like the city opening itself up. Families, friends, music fans, local businesses, and visitors all gathered together in a way that made the event feel genuinely rooted in the community.
This year looks ready to build on that.
