THING Festival Moves to Remlinger Farms with Stellar 2024 Lineup

Seattle Theatre Group (STG) has revealed the lineup for the 2024 THING Festival, an eclectic three-day music event known for its diverse range of acts and emphasis on music discovery. The festival will take place from August 9-11 at STG’s new outdoor venue at Remlinger Farms in Carnation, WA. Headlining this year’s festival are St. Vincent, Black Pumas, and Toro Y Moi, with additional performances by Spoon, Killer Mike, Stephen Sanchez, Ethel Cain, and Earl Sweatshirt. Festival passes go on sale Friday, March 15 at 10:00 AM PT.

This year’s lineup features over 30 bands across multiple stages, including Shakey Graves, Unknown Mortal Orchestra, Arlo Parks, Blind Pilot, Say She She, and more. In addition to the diverse music offerings, the festival will showcase local performances from STG’s Education and Community Engagement programming, highlighting alumni from More Music @ The Moore, and a local hip hop showcase with PNW Mic Check participants.

“Music discovery continues to be at the core of THING,” said Adam Zacks, curator of the festival and STG’s Chief Programming Officer. He expressed excitement about the festival’s new location at Remlinger Farms, a place he fondly remembers from childhood visits. Nadia Kaboul Quitslund, a producer of THING, also noted the festival’s potential for long-term community impact in its new home.

Festival passes, including general admission and VIP options for three-day and one-day access, will be available through several platforms, including the official THING website and Ticketmaster. The festival promises a family-friendly experience with various food vendors, local crafts, creative workshops, and the return of the popular Luminarium and lantern parade. After three successful years at Fort Worden in Port Townsend, the 2024 THING Festival aims to continue its tradition of fostering community and celebrating creativity in a new, exciting environment.
