Have you ever wondered to yourself, what would punk sound like if it had started in the 1940s instead of the 1970s? Or what the gritty images of film noir moving pictures would sound like given a chance to jump on stage?
Well your answer is The World/Inferno Friendship Society, a collective of artists, delinquents and the people your mother warned you about, that was born in the New York Punk scene. Yet, they are not that simple to pin down. Part cabaret, punk and all festive exemplifying all that is worth celebrating in life.
Co-Headlining this run of dates in Culture Shock, which is amazing. For those of you not in the know, this is one of the side projects of the, as much as he would hate admit it, punk icon Dick Lucas. Find me a die hard punk without a Subhumans record in their collection and I’d be surprised. Aside from the Subhumans and the aforementioned Culture Shock, the other part of this three headed beast is Citizen Fish.
This is a night of punk lore and prestige that is unmissable if you want one hell of a night out!
