To say that Adele is a phenomenal singer, to me, is a bit of an understatement. Her passionate delivery and bluesy soul are awe-inspiring. This sirens call leaves me speechless, and spellbound. She is true perfection.
On January 24th of this year, Adele released her second studio album; 21. This heartfelt compilation carried a strong message of love and heartbreak. The Chicago Blues seemed to flow through her, leaving her vocal contribution sounding vintage, and delicious. She had definitely grown since her first album and proved she was no one hit wonder.
Earlier this year she embarked on a tour to promote her new album; the Adele Live tour. Due to sickness, some of those shows were postponed and rescheduled. One of which being the Vancouver date, which was moved from May 31st to August 9th. Now that means we are 3 days away from experiencing her greatness. This has my toes a tingling.
It is one thing to relish in the splendor that is Adele through any recorded medium. It is a completely different beast to experience her live. Something about her magic is almost lost in translation. Sure the albums are amazing, and every note sends a score of shivers rushing down my spine, but live is even better. Adele, live, is perfection. On Tuesday, those lucky enough to get tickets, will experience that perfection. She will be playing to a sold out crowd at the Orpheum Theater. It will be glorious.
Here is a little teaser to get you going:
What can I say I am sucker for amazing female vocals. Adele is inspirational.
