Rob Zombie’s Great American Nightmare Looks Devilishly Delectable

This fall the Pomona Fairplex, in Southern California, will be transformed into the FEARplex when Rob Zombie unleashes his Great American Nightmare. This one of a kind event will be held throughout the month of October and leaking a little into November. The brainchild of horror connoisseur and one of a kind rock showman Rob Zombie and brewed in the same mad depths of his brain as House of 1000 Corpses, The Devil’s Rejects, Lords of Salem and The Haunted World of El Superbeasto. The event is part horror maze walkthrough and part music festival morphed into a one of a kind event for everyone’s inner Trick or Treater.

The musical acts range from Mr. Zombie himself, the Kottonmouth Kings, The Vandals, punk veterans TSOL, ska stalwarts Reel Big Fish, EDM artists and even an evening of wrestling featuring Lucha Libra USA Wrestling.

The price of admission not only gets into each concert, it also grants you access to the rest of the festivities. You can grab a drink and a snack, while you try to relax on Bloody Boulevard where you can take in classic horror films, listen to a DJ or be terrorized by roaming freaks. Or there’s the main attraction, the three houses. All of which are inspired from and will throw you head first into the insane worlds of House of 1000 Corpses, Lords of Salem and The Haunted World of El Superbeasto.

If you are brave enough to accept the challenge of surviving the night, I might see you out there in the fog. Maybe I’ll even let you hold my arm if you get scared, or push you into the monsters out of a survival instinct. Either way this has the making of a what could be a fun and exciting annual event that could rival its other local competitors. For those of you can’t make it, I will try to cover as many nights as a I can. I will bring you reviews of as many bands as I can see, photos of those bands, descriptions in horrific detail of my experiences in the haunted houses and as many photos of all the terrifying details, without spoilers of course.

Ticket prices will vary depending on which night you choose to go. The general rule is Thursdays and Sundays are $30, Friday and Saturdays are $35. There are exceptions to those rules, such as Friday November 1 and Saturday November 2 will be $45. For full details on everything head on over to the official site
