Live Review: Black Label Society + Corrosion Of Conformity @ MacEwan Hall – February 17th 2018

Last Saturday night brought fans out to MacEwan Hall to see the legendary Zakk Wylde and Black Label Society. Fans were anticipating a night of head banging metal and the bands did not disappoint. The first act to take the stage was Eyehategod out of New Orleans which got the crowd warmed up for Corrosion of Conformity. Pepper Keenan took to the stage along with the rest of COC and played a great set that left the audience with their ears bleeding and by the sound of the enthusiastic screams from the front row, this was exactly what they were looking for!

The Mighty Zakk Wylde and Black label Society came up and blew the roof off MacEwan Hall. Lots of people know Zakk Wylde for his stellar work as Ozzy Osbourne’s lead guitarist along with his own band, Pride and Glory. When a gifted musician with a long history in the industry like Zakk Wylde performs you are treated to one amazing rock show! Wylde knows how to take the audience on an epic metal ride. At one point, Wylde jumped into the audience and walked through the crowd playing a blazing guitar solo while his instrument was behind his back! The set included all the songs from BLS’s latest album,Grimmest Hits, as well as a few other favourites. I highly recommend seeing Black Label Society live!
