It has been a minute since these New York, post-punk rockers have been to our fair city, but they made up for lost time with an eloquently captivating set.

I didn’t jump on the Interpol bandwagon until around 2006/2007, around the time they released their third studio album, Our Love to Admire. Ever since then I have been blown away by the depth of their songs, specifically the lyrics, everything just speaks to me.

The show on Thursday night was musically intense and punctuated with simple yet bold lighting accoutrement. Solid colour washes painted over a layer of stage fog left everything thing feeling ethereal. It was beautiful to watch and serene to listen to.

Thank you to the band for a wonderful night out. You and your crew did a great job.
