Live Review: Chelsea Cutler + Ayokay + Arden Jones @ The Commodore Ballroom, Vancouver – November 6th 2022

Chelsea Cutler is in Vancouver!

Chelsea Cutler has officially made her way to Vancouver!

The Conneticut artist performed her first headline show in Canada at the Commodore Ballroom on the night of Sunday, November 6th with support from Ayokay and Arden Jones.

Opening acts

Arden Jones hopped on stage and took over the crowd with uplifting beats from his new album Age Tape 0.

The Mr. Sunshine singer captivated the crowd with his stage presence and heart-hitting lyrics. After performing for about 35 minutes and surprising the crowd with a Sax solo, it was time to wrap up.

Ayokay followed Jones’s performance. The Michingan born singer-songwriter and producer is known for producing multiple songs on Cutler’s albums and for collaborating with long-time friend Quinn XCII.

Ayokay engaged the crowd with his uplifting beats and had everyone jumping and dancing on the dancefloor to some of his biggest hits like Swing Swing and Kings of Summer, the latter which he wrote with Quinn XCII.

The Show

After an incredible warm-up that had the venue on high-spirits, Chelsea Cutler finally jumped on stage.

Cutler opened the show with her hit Under followed by Sad tonight, the lead single of her debut album How to Be Human.

The singer-songwriter played some of her all-time greatest hits including 310 Bowery, NJ, Crazier Things, AF1s, You Were Good to Me and Devil on My Shoulder.

Cutler had the crowd singing at the top of their lungs, shedding a few tears, and dancing as much as they could.

The New York based artist has been heavily promoting her upcoming single Men on the Moon. The singer played the upcoming song during her set and, unsurprisingly, most people in the crowd knew the lyrics to the song. Clearly, we are all ready to hear it!

The Artist toured over 50 cities on her When I Close My Eyes North American Tour, and will be wrapping up on November 17th.
