Live Review: Thee Sacred Souls + LA LOM + The Womack Sisters @ PNE Forum, Vancouver – August 9th 2026
Thee Sacred Souls, LA LOM, and The Womack Sisters performed together in Vancouver on August 9th, 2026, as part of The Constellation Tour.
The show was originally listed for the Freedom Mobile Arch at the PNE Grounds, but ended up taking place inside the PNE Forum. Maybe it was the pending rain. Maybe it was ticket sales. Maybe it was some combination of venue logistics. Whatever the reason, the move did not hurt the night.
This was a special triple bill.
The Womack Sisters opened the evening with so much soul and heart in their set. The trio, made up of BG, Zeimani, and Kucha Womack, come from a deep musical lineage as the daughters of Cecil and Linda Womack, the granddaughters of Sam Cooke, and nieces of Bobby Womack. That kind of history can be heavy, but they carried it beautifully.
They were powerful, but also harmony embodied.
Their voices wrapped around each other with ease, but there was attitude there too. They were captivating from the start, bringing warmth and confidence into the room before the night had fully settled.
Then came LA LOM.
The Los Angeles instrumental trio, made up of guitarist Zac Sokolow, bassist Jake Faulkner, and drummer/percussionist Nicholas Baker, brought the energy up another level. Their sound is rooted in that Mexican Los Angeles musical world, but it also pulls from cumbia, soul, bolero, Chicha, rockabilly, and oldies.
It is somehow both intense and soothing.
Sokolow is a wildly talented guitarist. All three members are excellent, but his playing sits right at the front, guiding the whole thing with this fluid, twangy, sun-baked confidence. Without a vocalist, LA LOM still held the room completely. That is not easy to do. Their songs felt cinematic, romantic, and alive.
Then Thee Sacred Souls came out and took the night somewhere else.
The San Diego soul band were completely enthralling.
Lead singer Josh Lane is a star performer. He is the kind of frontperson who controls a room without ever needing to force it. There is a real symbiosis between him and the crowd. He guides the energy, lets it breathe, and then pulls everyone in closer.
His voice is silky smooth.
The band around him was locked in at an atomic level. Every groove, every harmony, every little movement felt connected. It was one of those performances where you stop thinking about individual parts and just feel the whole thing working as one body.
At one point, Lane jumped down from the stage and sang with the crowd. They loved it. I loved it. The band loved it.
That moment really summed up the night.
There was no wall between the stage and the room. Just musicians and fans feeding off each other, building something together in real time.
I was in awe watching him.
By the end of the night, it was very clear why Thee Sacred Souls were headlining. They have the songs, the sound, the presence, and the ability to make a big room feel deeply personal.
I am glad I was there.
I cannot wait to see more from all three bands, but especially Thee Sacred Souls.
They headlined for a reason, and on this night, they proved exactly why.
