Snoh Aalegra Returns With 2026 Single “Karma”

After three years without a new release, Snoh Aalegra has returned with “Karma,” an intimate single built around the lingering weight of a relationship that never found its proper ending.

Produced by Josh Grant and co-written by Aalegra with Joel Compass, “Karma” approaches lost love as something larger than a failed romance. Its central relationship appears to stretch beyond one moment or lifetime, leaving two people connected even when circumstances prevent them from remaining together.

Aalegra introduced the song through a pair of visual teasers shared during the week leading up to its release. In the second clip, she described learning from a karmic healer that she and the song’s unnamed subject had experienced 16 previous lives together. That history becomes the emotional framework for “Karma,” transforming familiar feelings of longing, regret and separation into something almost mythological.

The single does not treat that connection as purely romantic. There is also an uneasy sense of consequence running through it. The relationship may feel destined, but destiny does not guarantee a happy outcome. Aalegra considers the possibility that an unresolved betrayal from another existence has followed the pair into the present, leaving release as the only available act of love.

That perspective gives “Karma” a compelling tension. It is a song about feeling certain that a bond is real while accepting that it still cannot continue. Rather than chasing closure through confrontation, Aalegra focuses on the difficult decision to step away from someone who continues to feel permanently familiar.

“Karma” begins a new creative chapter for the Iranian-Swedish singer, songwriter and producer. It is her first musical release since 2023 and follows a celebrated catalogue that includes FEELS, Ugh, those feels again and the Grammy-nominated Temporary Highs in the Violet Skies.

Throughout those projects, Aalegra has explored desire and heartbreak with remarkable emotional detail. “Karma” extends that work into more spiritual territory, examining how love can remain meaningful even when it cannot be completed.
