Greta Van Fleet Announce New Album ‘Palace For The People’ Share Powerful Single “Saw You Stand”

Greta Van Fleet have officially kicked off a new chapter with the release of their latest single, “Saw You Stand,” while announcing their fourth studio album, Palace For The People, arriving October 9 via Republic Records.

Following the band’s recent return with “Play Your Games,” the new track offers another preview of what fans can expect from the upcoming record. Blending the band’s signature arena-sized rock sound with a more intimate and cinematic atmosphere, “Saw You Stand” showcases Greta Van Fleet’s continued evolution as songwriters while remaining rooted in the soaring musicianship that has defined their career.

The single arrives alongside an official music video and ahead of a rare sold-out club performance at Chicago’s legendary Metro. Better known for headlining arenas around the world, the intimate show marks the beginning of the band’s Palace For The People era.

Recorded in Tennessee during the spring of 2026, Palace For The People was co-produced by the band alongside acclaimed producer Mike Elizondo, whose credits include Turnstile, Eminem and Fiona Apple. The album explores themes of humanity, resilience, connection and transcendence while presenting what guitarist Jake Kiszka describes as “a very modern record” at its heart.

“As much as it is a Greta Van Fleet record and a rock and roll record at its core, in its heart, it’s a very modern record.”

Lead vocalist Josh Kiszka says the time away from the road helped strengthen the band’s creative bond.

“We’ve grown closer, and we have more to say and share than ever.”

The album’s title traces back to the band’s 2022 performance at London’s Alexandra Palace, originally known as The Palace of the People. Built as a place where everyone could gather regardless of status, the concept inspired the band to imagine what a modern “Palace For The People” could represent today.

Bassist Sam Kiszka believes they had already found the answer through the community surrounding the band’s music.

“I can’t tell you how many people have come up to me and said, ‘This is my best friend. We met through your music or at your show.’ We realized the music is our palace.”

That idea shaped the writing sessions that followed, as Greta Van Fleet stepped away from touring and outside obligations to focus entirely on creating new music. Pulling from unfinished demos alongside brand-new material, the band emerged with what they describe as their most cohesive and inspired work to date.

Since forming in Frankenmuth, Michigan, Greta Van Fleet have become one of modern rock’s biggest success stories. Multiple platinum-certified releases, Grammy Award recognition and sold-out tours across the globe have cemented their reputation as one of the defining rock bands of their generation.

With Palace For The People arriving this fall, “Saw You Stand” offers an exciting first look at what promises to be Greta Van Fleet’s most ambitious and emotionally resonant album yet.
